On day 2 of PAK vs BAN 1st Test, Rizwan played a crucial role in pulling Pakistan out of a difficult situation.

Not only did Rizwan score a record-shattering century in PAK vs BAN 1st Test, but he went on to surpass the 150-run mark, creating history in the process.

By scoring his first 150-plus in Test cricket, Mohammad Rizwan became the first Pakistani batsman to achieve a 150-plus score in a Test innings since 2009.

Earlier, Pakistani wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal scored an unbeaten 158 runs against Sri Lanka in Karachi on February 21, 2009.

Tasleem Arif holds the record for the most runs in a Test innings by a wicketkeeper-batsman for Pakistan, having scored an unbeaten 210 runs against Australia in Faisalabad on March 6, 1980. Imtiaz Ahmed followed with 209 runs, achieved against New Zealand in Lahore in 1955. Mohammad Rizwan now occupies the third spot with his recent innings.

Rizwan's innings featured 11 fours and 3 sixes. He remained unbeaten when captain Shan Masood declared Pakistan's innings at 448-6, narrowly missing out on a double century. Had Rizwan continued batting and surpassed 232 runs, he would have become the world's leading run-scorer for a wicketkeeper in Test cricket.
