Gayle is also the highest run-scorer in the shortest format of the game. He has 12,189 runs in 363 T20 matches.

No other cricketer is even near to Gayle’s feat. The second on the six hitters’ list is another West Indian power hitter Kieron Pollard, who has got 557 sixes to his name.

Shane Watson and Dwayne Smith are the next two batsmen to occupy the places in the top-five. While Watson hit 386 monstrous strikes, Smith got it right on 372 occasions.

Pollard is followed by former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum, who has hit 484 sixes.
