Bengali Actress Aparajita Adhya Visits A Pandal In Kolkata, Participates In 'Sindur Khela'

Today is the last day of Durga Puja and Bengal is all set to bid adieu to Maa Durga. But, before bidding adieu, there is a whole lot of rituals that are performed- one of them being Sindur Khela.

Bengali Actress Aparajita Adhya Participates In 'Sindur Khela'

'Sindur Khela' is a traditional ritual observed during the final day of Durga Puja. It involves married women (usually, but not exclusively) applying vermilion (sindur) to each other's foreheads and playing with vermilion powder. Garbed in a traditional white saree with a red border, Aparajita adorned herself with jewels which included a traditional Bengali nath, earrings, necklaces and bangles. (Image Source: PR Handout)
