Lata Mangeshkar worked extensively with S.D Burman, a musical genius, over her long and successful career. They collaborated on several projects, generating all-time hits from the 1940s until 1971. Jawaharlal Nehru was once moved to tears by Lata Mangeshkar's song Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon. Lata was told after the occasion that Nehru wanted to speak with her.
