Parents name new-born 'Mirage Singh Rathore' after Mirage 2000 jets, to mark IAF feat

New Delhi: A family in Rajasthan named their new-born baby “Mirage” after the name of Indian fighter jet Mirage 2000, which decimated a terror camp of Jaish-e-Mohammed in Pakistan’s Balakot, agencies reported. The name given to the baby who was born minutes after the Indian jets destroyed the Jaish terror camp, is ‘Mirage Singh Rathore', ANI said. The family of the baby has some of its members service in the Indian Armed Forces. The baby was born to a couple in Dabra village of Nagaur district in Rajasthan. The family has some of its members serving in the Indian armed forces. Mahaveer Singh the father of the baby, is a school teacher by profession. He said that this was their way of eternalising the Indian Armed Forces feat. An uncle of the new-born who is serving the Indian Air Force and is currently posted in Nanitial suggested the name “Miraj”, when he learnt about the baby's birth. The family of the child accepted the suggestion as they felt it was a unique way to recognize the brave feat of the Mirage 2000 jets. The baby was born at 3:50 am coinciding with IAF’s air strike at Balakot. India conducted a preemptive strike on terror camps based in Pakistan on Tuesday, twelve days after JeM terrorists carried out a massive attack at Pulwama CRPF camp, killing 40 soldiers.
