Karnataka Govt Transfers 7 IPS Officers, DCP Traffic West Division Post Remains Vacant

As a result, it is that another round of transfer orders is expected.

Chennai: Karnataka government transferred 7 IPS officers on Thursday. In the rejigging, IPS officers Shashi Kumar and Yashodha Vantagodi have also been transferred to new portfolios.

According to ANI, “Karnataka govt yesterday transferred 7 IPS officers. N Shashi Kumar, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) and commissioner of police, Mangaluru city transferred and posted as DIGP, Railways.”

Shashi Kumar, Deputy Inspector General and Commissioner of Police, Mangaluru City was transferred and posted as Deputy Inspector General of Police, Railways in the vacant post.

Kuldeep Kumar R. Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic West Division, Bengaluru City was transferred as Commissioner of Police, Mangaluru City in the downgraded post in the place of N Shashi Kumar. 

Dekka Kishore Babu, who was Superintendent of Police, Wireless, Bengaluru was transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, Intelligence in the vacant post. 

Kona Vamsi Krishna, Commandant, 1st Battalion, Karnataka State Reserve Police, Bengaluru was placed in Concurrent Charge of the post Superintendent of Police, Wireless, Bengaluru.

Mohammad Sujeetha M S, Deputy Commissioner of Police, City Armed Reserve Headquarters, Bengaluru City was transferred as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic South, Bengaluru City in a newly created post.

Arunangshu Girl, Superintendent of Police, Koppal was transferred as Deputy Commissioner of Police, City Armed Reserve Headquarters, Bengaluru City. 

Yashodha Vantagodi, Superintendent of Police, Karnataka Lokayukta, Belagavi was transferred as Superintendent of Police, Koppal.

However, the government is yet to post any officers for DCP, traffic west division. As a result, it is likely that another round of transfer orders is expected.

The rejigging of IPS officers started after a clash broke out between Senior IPS officer D. Roopa Moudgil and senior IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri over sharing of private images on social media. Later, both officers were transferred without postings.
