Vistara flight delayed for 3 hours over passenger who wanted to "smoke before take off"

As per reports, after the argument, the flight had to be taken back to the bay, where the passenger was off loaded. The authorities thereafter identified his luggage and gave it to him. The flight took off for Kolkata after that.

New Delhi: A Vistara flight travelling between Delhi and Kolkata observed a delay of 3 hours on Friday after a passenger got into an argument with the crew. As per reports, the two got into an argument as the passenger wanted to get off the plane to smoke a cigarette, right when it was about to take off. As per reports, after the argument, the flight had to be taken back to the bay, where the passenger was off loaded. The authorities thereafter identified his luggage and gave it to him. The flight took off for Kolkata after that. Speaking on the incident, one of the Vistara official said “Once the aircraft started taxiing in Amritsar, a passenger said he wanted to get off the flight with his family due to some personal emergency. The aircraft returned to the bay where this family got off and after that the plane resumed its journey with a delay of about 1.5 hours”.
