Our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.
We stand in solidarity with the people of the United States. @realDonaldTrump
The plane crashed into the Potomac River after midair collision with a chopper near Washingon DC's Ronald Reagan airport on Wednesday evening.
The helicopter had three people on board who were labelled "fairly experienced crew" by Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth.
Twenty-seven bodies have been recovered so far and one from the helicopter as authorities searching the freezing waters said they have switched to a recovery operation.
The black boxes for the commercial flight have been located amid mounting questions no staffing and other close calls at the airport where the plane was landing. The recovered black boxes will be transported to the NTSB lab, near the site of the crash, and analysed, reported CBS.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation and the National Transport Safety Board said a preliminary report will be issued in 30 days.
US President Donald Trump blamed the diversity policies of his predecessors Joe Biden and Barack Obama for poor safety standards following the crash.
"I put safety first. Obama, Biden and the Democrats put policy first," Trump said. "They actually came out with a directive: 'too white.' And we want the people that are competent," he added.
