Industrialist Gautam Adani addressed the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit in Guwahati on Tuesday. The chairman of the Adani Group said that the conglomerate will invest Rs 50,000 crore in the state and focus on infrastructure development across sectors such as gas distribution, road projects, airport development, etc.
Applauding the role of PM Narendra Modi and his policies in helping develop Assam, Adani said, “It is a privilege to stand before you today at Advantage Assam 2.0. Every time I set foot in this sacred land of Maa Kamakhya, I am captivated by its natural and limitless beauty. Just as the mighty river Brahmaputra reshapes the landscape of this state to carve its own path, I must say that it is our Hon'ble Prime Minister who has reshaped the landscape of possibilities for Assam.”
Adani also acknowledged the Act East Policy of PM Modi and said, “The programs to enhance connectivity and infrastructure are not just initiatives, they are monuments of hope for the entire region. You have not only integrated Assam and its sister states into India’s growth story but laid the path to make them catalysts for our nation’s future as well as boost trade and investment with the Southeast Asian nations.”
