'Family Members Allowed...': BCCI 'U-Turn' On 10-Point Diktat For Cricketers Ahead Of Champions Trophy

BCCI have reportedly taken a U-turn in their 10-point Diktat, lowing players to stay with families. Read below for details.

Indian players might just have received a huge positive news ahead of their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign, as BCCI have reportedly taken a U-turn on their 'famous' 10-point Diktat they had earlier announced in January.

As reported by Dainik Jagran, the players can be accompanied by their wives and family members but not for the entire tournament. The players can collectively take a call and BCCI can make arrangements, but just for 'one match'.

Indian team suffered humiliation after humiliation, as New Zealand and Australia handed them a knockout blow in their ambitions to reach a third-consecutive World Test Championship Final.

New Zealand became the first-ever side in 90 years to hand India a Test series whitewash on their home soil, followed by a 3-1 drubbing at the hands of Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 series.

India's failure in red-ball cricket forced BCCI to release a new set of rules for the players, as the board stated 'discipline' their major motive behind the action.

"Any exceptions or deviations must be pre-approved by the Chairman of the Selection Committee and Head Coach. Non-compliance may lead to disciplinary action as deemed appropriate by the BCCI," stated the 10-point diktat Of BCCI.

"Additionally, the BCCI reserves the right to take disciplinary action against a player which may include sanction against the concerned player from participating in all BCCI conducted tournaments including the Indian Premier League deduction from retainer amount/match fees under BCCI Player contract," added the new rule book.

The wives and families of the players can accompany them on the longer tours, but merely for a two-week period. For tournaments that conclude inside the 45-day span, the rules are strict, but if the reports are to be believed, this can be a huge boost for players.
