Uproot SP from UP, vote for pro-development BJP: Amit Shah
Barabanki (Uttar Pradesh): Highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment towards development of Uttar Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah on Monday urged the people to uproot the ruling Samajwadi Party, which was hand-in glove with the corrupt UPA regime at the Centre, and vote for the saffron party.
Addressing a party workers convention in Barabanki, Shah exuded confidence and said that the BJP would form the next government in Uttar Pradesh with two-third majority.
"Both Mulayam ji and Mayawati ji supported the corrupt UPA Government at the Centre. If you want development then uproot the Samajwadi Government from Uttar Pradesh," he added.
Laying thrust on the Gujarat model of development, the BJP president said Prime Minister Modi, now a 'UP wala', will take the politically crucial state ahead on the development path.
"Modi ji has developed Gujarat a lot, now it is Uttar Pradesh's turn. It is now Modi ji's responsibility to develop Uttar Pradesh," said Shah.
Yesterday, Shah exhorted the party workers in Haldwani to brace up for the 2017 polls in both Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh while asserting that past victories would be meaningless without wins in these two states.
