During his day-long visit to Uttar Pradesh on Friday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah will launch over Rs 4,567 crore in development projects and a music college, news agency ANI reported.
The Home Minister will begin his day on Friday with the launch of the Kaushambi Festival-2023 and the laying of the foundation stone for several development projects at an event held at Fasaiya Gram Sabha in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district.
In the evening, Shah would lay the foundation stone for Hariharpur Sangeet Mahavidyalaya and launch other development projects totalling 4,567 crore in the Namdarpur region of Uttar Pradesh's Azamgarh.
Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, is also slated to visit Hariharpur hamlet in Azamgarh, where the Home Minister will lay the groundwork for the music college.
During his visit to the area in August last year, Yogi Adityanath pledged that a music college connected with Bhatkhande University, Lucknow, would be created.
Hariharpur hamlet, around 5 kilometres from Azamgarh, is noted for its centuries-old musical history, in which children learn musical notes before the alphabet and musical instruments become toys.
It is stated that even a youngster under the age of five knows the words'sur' and 'raaga.' Folk music comes naturally to them since every home possesses musical instruments like as a harmonium, sarangi, tabla, sitar, dholak, and mridang.
On April 7, Shah will go to Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh, to address a Dalit convention as part of the Kaushambi Festival.
MP Vinod Sonkar is organising the Kaushambi Festival, which will take place from April 7 to April 9.
On the same day, Amit Shah will attend the festival's opening, the completion of the sporting event, and the Dalit convention.
The Union Minister will also be active in a number of state activities.
According to party insiders, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is prepared to make inroads into the electorate of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Samajwadi Party (SP) in the state through the Dalit summit.
