TTE Pushed To Death From Running Train By Passenger In Kerala

The TTE, identified as EK Vinod, was pushed by a passenger after the victim sought a ticket from the traveller. 

A Traveling Ticket Examiner (TTE) aboard the Patna Superfast train died on Tuesday after he was pushed out of the train by a passenger in a shocking incident, Kerala Railway police said.

As per reports, the incident ocurred on Tuesday evening at Velappaya area under the Thrissur Medical College police station limits in Kerala, between Mulangunnathukavu and Wadakkanchery railway stations. 
 
 
The accused has been identified as Rajanikanth, a differently abled migrant worker from Odisha. The incident unfolded in the Patna-bound train, that originated from Ernakulam, after the TTE sought a ticket from Rajanikanth, who was allegedly travelling without a ticket. 
 
When the TTE asked him to deboard the train at the next stations, the accused reportedly pushed the TTE out of the running train. The accused was later arrested by the Kerala police.
 
The police swiftly responded to the incident, and the accused passenger was apprehended in Palakkad. 
 
 
Railway officials said that the passenger, allegedly a migrant worker, pushed Vinod from the moving train after being questioned regarding his lack of a ticket.
 
It is also suspected that another train, traveling in the opposite direction, ran over his body, according to PTI.
 
The incident happened after the departure of the Ernakulam-Patna Express from Thrissur station.His colleagues remembered Vinod, who is in his mid-40s, as a sincere officer who has also taken on small roles in some movies.
