Samajwadi party-Congress to form an alliance in UP, consensus on 105 seats: Sources

New Delhi: Sunday may be the final day of climax for alliance between the Samajwadi Party and the Congress for upcoming Uttar Pradesh polls. Samajwadi party and Congress all set to form an alliance in UP, consensus on 105 seats sealed, said sources. Priyanka Gandhi had a word on alliance with Chief Minister of UP Akhilesh Yadav, said Ahmed Patel of the Congress party. "Wrong to suggest lightweights were dealing on behalf of the Congress. Discussion was at highest level-between CM(UP) and Priyanka Gandhi," said the Congressman, reported ANI, who is considered close to party president Sonia Gandhi. Meanwhile Akhilesh Yadav, on Sunday, has also announced his party's ghoshna patra (manifesto declaration) on Sunday from Lucknow. However, father Mulayam Singh Yadav skipped the function.  Image: Mulayam Singh Yadav's seat empty (R) Image: Mulayam Singh Yadav's seat empty (R) From past few months the suspense has been going on that whether both will enter into an alliance or not.
