Ram temple will definitely be built in Ayodhya, says UP Minister Mohsin Raza

MUMBAI: Ram Mandir will be constructed in Ayodhya as it is a matter of faith for the entire country, Uttar Pradesh Minister Mohsin Raza said on Sunday. Raza, who is the Minority Affairs Minister in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet, said the Ayodhya issue is related to every section of the society and it's about their faith. "Ram temple will definitely be built in Ayodhya as it's a matter of faith for the people of this country," Raza said. Raza, the only Muslim minister in UP cabinet, said this while he was on a two-day visit to Mumbai. He, however, asserted that the contentious Babri Masjid-Ram Temple case is still in the Supreme Court. He also spoke about the "victory" in the 2010 Allahabad High Court's judgement, wherein a three-judge bench, in a 2:1 majority ruling, had ordered that the land be partitioned equally among three parties -- the Sunni Waqf Board, the Nirmohi Akhara and Ram Lalla. Talking about the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Raza said people will vote for the BJP based upon the development work carried out by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government during its tenure. "We have no real challenge in front of us because we don't have any opposition," he said.
