Ayodhya Ram Mandir: BJP Plans Nationwide Live Telecast of Ram Lalla Idol Consecration

On January 22, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, a priest from Varanasi, will conduct the principal ceremony for Ram Lalla's consecration at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has plans to stream the consecration, or 'pran pratishtha', ceremony of the Ram Lalla idol from the Ayodhya Ram Mandir live across the nation. The grand event on January 22 will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Numerous VVIP guests from India and abroad have received invitations to take part in the auspicious occasion in Ayodhya. BJP workers have been instructed to set up large screens at the booth level for the live telecast of the Ram Lalla idol consecration, reported news agency ANI. The initiative will be aimed at providing a means for the common people to witness the consecration of Ram Lalla, according to party sources. "This way, the general public can have darshan of Ram Lalla and witness the consecration ceremony. This will enable individuals to virtually witness the rite without actually having to visit the temple. No one will miss this special day," a BJP leader told ANI

BJP workers are additionally encouraged to personally participate in social work. "Workers may choose to distribute blankets, organise community feasts (bhandara), or contribute through donations in terms of food or fruits to help those in need," the BJP leader said.

A week before the major celebration, Vedic rituals will be held for the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya on January 16. On January 22, Lakshmi Kant Dixit, a priest from Varanasi, will conduct the principal ceremony for Ram Lalla's consecration. The Amrit Mahotsav will be celebrated in Ayodhya from January 14 to January 22. Additionally, there will be a 1008 Hundi Mahayagya, where thousands of devotees will receive food. In order to accommodate the thousands of pilgrims that are anticipated to arrive in the Uttar Pradesh temple town for the ceremonial consecration, many tent cities are being built in Ayodhya.

In preparation for the anticipated rush of guests during the major event, local authorities are putting more security measures in place and organizing logistics to make sure that everyone who attends has a flawless and spiritually enlightening experience. According to the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Trust, arrangements will be made for 10,000-15,000 people.
