Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar Takes Oath As 23rd Governor Of Kerala
At 10:30 AM, the Governor-designate Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar was administered the oath by Kerala High Court Chief Justice Nitin Madhukar Jamdar at Raj Bhavan.
Former Bihar Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar took oath as the Governor of Kerala on Thursday. Rajendra previously served as Governor of Bihar. He was also the first person to serve as Governor of Himachal Pradesh from Goa.
At 10:30 AM, the Governor was administered the oath by Kerala High Court Chief Justice Nitin Madhukar Jamdar at Raj Bhavan.

Taking to X, the Governor said, "Taking oath as the Governor of Kerala today is a proud moment and an important responsibility for me. Taking to X, Vijayan in a post said, "Received the newly appointed Governor of Kerala, @rajendraarlekar, at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. Looking forward to working together in the spirit of Kerala's progress and unity."
On December 21, President Droupadi Murmu appointed Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar as the new Governor of Kerala. Additionally, outgoing Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan was appointed as the Governor of Bihar.
Before concluding his term, Khan expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people of Kerala, emphasising his enduring bond with the state. He extended his best wishes to Kerala's people and government. Further, he noted that his tenure had been marked by stability and harmony. However, there were frequent clashes between Khan and Kerala government.
