Police Solve Pandach Militant Attack Case; 5 Accused Arrested, 2 Ambulances, Bikes Seized

Police had arrested 5 uncategorized militants of ISJK who helped in transporting, logistics, planning and executing the attack.

Srinagar: District Police Srinagar solved the Pandach militant attack case which took place on 20/05/2020, in which 02 BSF jawans of 37 Bn got martyred. ALSO READ | J&K: 4 Residential Houses, Govt School, Madrassa Damaged In Cross-Border Shelling In Gurez Police had arrested 5 uncategorized militants of ISJK who helped in transporting, logistics, planning and executing the attack, in case FIR no 48/2020 u/s 302, 395 IPC, sections 7/25, 7/ 27 Arms Act , sections 16, 18, 19, 23 ULAP Act of Police Station Soura. During further of investigation, 4 vehicles were detained which includes 02 private ambulances functioning at SKIMS , a bike and a scooty. Accordingly approval for seizure of the above vehicles was sought from the DGP JKP Shri Dilbagh Singh - IPS. Today wide no. legal GB - 15/111/2020. DGP JKP Shri Dilbagh Singh has accorded approval for seizure of the above vehicles. Pertinent to mention here that the ambulance JK01AD0915 was used to transport the militants from Bijbehara to Pandach, Srinagar. Ambulance JK01AF 9417 was used to transport the militants back to Bijbehara from Srinagar. Furthermore, categorized militants of ISJK involved in the attack have also been neutralized in two separate encounters at Zadibal, Srinagar and Hatigam, Bijbehara and looted weapons of BSF jawans have also been recovered. Two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel were killed when militants attacked a party of 37 battalion of the paramilitary forces near the Pandach area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district in May. Militants also snatched the weapons of the jawans. ALSO READ | 2 BSF Troopers Killed In Militant Attack Near Pandach In Kashmir's Ganderbal District Confirming the incident, officials had said that the militants fired discriminately at the BSF party near old road Pandach, resulting in serious injuries to two personnel who were evacuated to nearby SKIMS hospital Soura Srinagar. However, both were declared dead on arrival by the doctors who attended upon them. Medical Superintendent SKIMS Dr. Farooq Jan had confirmed that both of them were declared as "brought dead on arrival".
