PM Modi Once Again Tops Global Approval Ratings, Remains 'Most Trusted Leader'

Narendra Modi retains his position as the world's most popular leader, according to Morning Consult's Global Leader Approval Tracker.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again claimed the top spot on the Morning Consult Global Leader Approval Tracker, with a commanding 75% approval rating, reaffirming his position as the most popular and trusted elected leader in the world. The global survey, which tracks the approval ratings of major world leaders, places Modi far ahead of his counterparts, including U.S. President Donald Trump, who holds a 44% approval rating.

PM Modi secured the highest approval at 76%, maintaining a significant lead over other global counterparts. Modi was followed by Lee Jae-Myung of South Korea at 59%, Javier Milei of Argentina at 57%, and Mark Carney of Canada at 56%.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese received an approval rating of 54%, while Karin Keller-Sutter of Switzerland followed with 53%. Claudia Sheinbaum, the new President of Mexico, rounded out the list with 48%.

 

Morning Consult, a U.S.-based analytics firm, carries out daily polling in over a dozen countries to gauge public opinion on world leaders. Modi’s consistent performance in these rankings highlights his sustained popularity on both the national and international stages.

Taking to X, Amit Malviya, In-charge of BJP's National Information & Technology Dept, said, "Loved by over a billion Indians and respected by millions across the globe, PM Narendra Modi tops the Morning Consult Global Leader Approval Tracker once again — the highest-rated and most trusted leader worldwide. Strong leadership. Global respect. Bharat is in safe hands."

Meanwhile, the announcement has come at a time PM reached a major milestone in Indian political history, becoming the country's second-longest-serving Prime Minister. As of July 25, 2025, Modi has spent 4,078 consecutive days in office, surpassing the tenure of Indira Gandhi, who held the post for 4,077 days between January 1966 and March 1977. Only Jawaharlal Nehru, who served for 6,130 days, remains ahead of him in terms of duration.
