PM Modi Lauds Karyakartas At BJP's National Executive Meet, Says ‘Service Is Highest Form Of Worship’

New Delhi: Speaking extensively on the ambitious ‘Sewa Hi Sangathan’ drive of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the world is praising India not because of him but because of the faith the people have in the party workers.
“It is not because of someone called Modi but because of the will and confidence of the people and the faith they have in themselves,” ANI quoted Prime Minister Modi as saying.

Asserting “service is the highest form of worship”, he said: “A new culture of service has been demonstrated by the karyakartas of the BJP. ‘Sewa hi Sangathan’ has served the nation during tough times.”
Delivering an emotional speech to the BJP workers, Prime Minister Modi said: “Be with the people. Be in touch with them and have affinity with the people you know.”
Lavishing praise on the BJP workers for serving the society, Prime Minister Modi said the confidence of the state presidents in winning the poll-bound states comes from the work they have done in society.
“When I was listening to the state presidents and CMs of the five states going to elections, I realised that their confidence is derived from the satisfaction of the work they have done for their states in the past five years. This is the beauty of service,” he added.
Boosting the BJP workers’ morale during the party’s national executive meeting, Prime Minister Modi said that those who were with the party since its inception needs to be honoured.
Earlier in the day, the BJP’s national executive meeting passed a political resolution ahead of the assembly elections in several states, including politically crucial Uttar Pradesh, next year.
ANI reported sources as saying that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath moved the resolution at the meeting. This was seconded by Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai.
The BJP leaders discussed the party’s election strategy in the seven states of Goa, Manipur, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat that will vote next year.
