'Operations Still Ongoing': Indian Air Force A Day After India-Pak Ceasefire

After four days of airstrikes, India and Pakistan on Saturday agreed to a "full and immediate" ceasefire.

Operation Sindoor: The Indian Air Force on Sunday said it has successfully executed its assigned tasks in Operation Sindoor, with precision and professionalism. Operations were conducted in a deliberate and discreet manner, aligned with national objectives.

It said, "since the Operations are still ongoing", a detailed briefing will be conducted in due course. The IAF urged all to refrain from speculation and the dissemination of unverified information.

India carried out airstrikes on terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir under Operation Sindoor on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday. Top terrorists linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba were gunned down in the operation that was carried out to avenge the Phalgam terror attack, in which 26 people were killed.

India, Pakistan Announce Ceasefire

After four days of airstrikes, India and Pakistan on Saturday agreed to a "full and immediate" ceasefire. However, Pakistani drones were sighted in many places like Jammu, Srinagar, Kutch and Amritsar just hours after the truce was announced. Government sources said the stoppage of firing and military action between India and Pakistan was worked out directly between the two countries.

Pakistan DGMO initiated a call this afternoon, after which discussions took place and understanding reached, they said. Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed the ceasefire with immediate effect.

"Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire with immediate effect. Pakistan has always strived for peace and security in the region, without compromising on its sovereignty and territorial integrity!" Dar said in a post on X. "We have agreed on a ceasefire from 4:30 pm (Pakistan Time) today," he told Geo News.
