Mysterious: Who is chopping off women's braids in Delhi?

It is being suspected that the culprits administered a sedative so that the females are not able to offer any resistance.

New Delhi: In southwest Delhi's Chhawla area, three cases have been registered in  in connection with alleged chopping off of some women's braid by unidentified persons, police said. Cops have procured CCTV footage in which three men could be seen roaming in the area, said cops on Monday. As per the information the accused persons break into the houses of women, cut their hair. They also steal items. "The victims alleged that when the incident happened, they were present at home and their houses were locked from inside and when their hair was chopped off, they did not notice anybody," police said, reported news agency PTI. It is being suspected that the culprits administered a sedative so that the females are not able to offer any resistance. Three persons have been seen from a CCTV footage and the police have developed photographs of the accused, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southwest) Surender Kumar. Efforts are on to get a breakthrough in the case. Cops have denied any witchcraft angle in the case and said they are verifying the allegations of women. Cops have sent some samples for forensic examination.
