Mumbai: Security was beefed up in the city after Mumbai Police received information about a possible bomb attack in the financial capital. The information regarding the possible bomb attack was received on the telephone by Bandra Railway Police Station, news agency ANI reported.

The caller was contacted by the Police and all related security agencies were subsequently informed about the warning, Khalid said.

The fresh alert comes almost a week after Mumbai Police issued a mild alert across south Mumbai after a taxi driver informed the police that two suspected passengers carrying bags with them had asked him about the location of Mukesh Ambani's south Mumbai residence 'Antilia'.

The official said the taxi driver was standing near Killa court in south Mumbai when a car pulled over and its occupants asked him about the location of Ambani's residence.

Mumbai Police had also detained the taxi driver to record his statement, prepare a sketch of the two 'mysterious' persons, and scour the CCTV footage of the route on which they commuted.

Even in February, Antilia was previously targeted when an abandoned SUV with 20 gelatin sticks and a threat note was found near the building, sending the police into a tizzy.

Road blocks were erected at various strategic locations in Mumbai to help track the two unknown persons, who were reportedly carrying a couple of bags, as per the taxi driver's statement, though the police declined to share further details.
