Mumbai: Five Dead, 1 Injured After Lift Collapses At Under-Constructed Building In Worli
In a tragic incident, four people died while one is feared to be trapped after a lift collapsed at an under-constructed building in Worli area of Mumbai.
Mumbai: In a tragic incident, five people died while one got injured after a lift collapsed at an under-constructed building in Worli area of Mumbai on Saturday, July 24.
According to sources, the victims are suspected to be workers who work at the under-constructed building.
News agency ANI reported that the incident occurred around 5.45 PM when the lift came crashing down at the Ambika building in Worli's Hanuman Gully.
Meanwhile, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) informed that the injured persons have been shifted to the hospital.
Chief medical officer (CMO) of KEM hospital, Dr Yusuf told media that "Out of the two persons admitted to KEM hospital, one was declared dead on arrival while the condition of the other is critical."
The other three victims who were taken to the Nair hospital were declared brought dead. Persons who lost lives have been identified as Avinash Das(35), Bharat Mandal (28), Chinmay Mandal (33), and another 45-year-old unidentified person. The one person who has been injured was identified as Laxman Mandal (35).
