'Monologues Should End': RJD Mocks Modi Government On Handling Farmers’ Protest
Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, RJD leader Manoj Jha said the ruling dispensation at the Centre must understand the pain of the farmers. “With folded hands, I request you to please understand the pain of farmers. In harsh winter, you stopped water supply and toilet facilities, dug trenches, put barbed wires and installed spikes,” Jha said.
Opposition leaders resumed their attack on the government in the parliament for handling farmers’ protests. Pointing fingers at Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Manoj Jha said the ruling dispensation at the Centre must understand the pain of the farmers.
Speaking in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday, RJD leader sarcastically said: "Such aggressive approach was not even heard of towards those attempting to infiltrate into the Indian territory."
“With folded hands, I request you to please understand the pain of farmers. In harsh winter, you stopped water supply and toilet facilities, dug trenches, put barbed wires and installed spikes,” Jha said as Rajya Sabha resumed the discussion on Motion of Thanks on the President’s address to the joint sitting of both the Houses of the Parliament.
“They (BJP) talk of having given this and that to farmers but there is no place for language of charity in a democracy. The monologues should be ended,” he added.
