Modi's Ramazan-Diwali comment: Cong advises PM to look into his 'Karam Kundali'

New Delhi: The Congress Party on Monday tore into Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the wake of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections saying that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -led NDA Government is going to lose the polls and advised the latter to look into his 'Karam Kundali'. "Instead of looking at 'Janam Kundli' of Congress Party it is time for BJP to look into their 'Karam Kundali' for loss is written there on account of the demons of the demonetization and complete dejection of people with 30 months of Prime Minister Modi government's rule," Congress leader Randeep Surjewala told ANI. Surjewala further asserted that the third phase of assembly election in Uttar Pradesh has conclusively established that the Samajwadi Party and Congress alliance is winning decisively in the state. "It is proved by the intemperate language of Prime Minister Modi and by the choice of completely reprehensible language by BJP president Amit Shah. Both Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah are speaking the language of the leader who has lost the war. BJP will lose all the five states," he said. What PM Modi said in Fatehpur rally Earlier on Sunday, while addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur, Prime Minister Modi said, "In a village, if a cemetery can be constructed, so should a cremation ground. If electricity is supplied during Ramzan, so electricity should also be supplied during Diwali as well. There should not be any discrimination on the basis of religion and caste." The Prime Minister also said the 'exile of development' must end in Uttar Pradesh, while appealing the people to cast their vote for a government which ensures safety in the state. While, the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Sunday said a total of 61.16 percent voter turnout was recorded as voting ended in the third phase of the ongoing assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh. It added that it is expected to cross 63 percent. Narendra Modi, Amit Shah are 'terrorists': SP minister Rajendra Chowdhary Meanwhile, ruling Samajwadi Party spokesperson and minister in Akhilesh Yadav's government, Rajendra Choudhary made a controversial statement over the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah by calling them as “terrorists”. The comment by Rajendra Chowdhary came shortly after PM Modi accused the state government of discrimination on the basis of religion. Accusing the BJP top brass leaders of terrorising the people, Choudhary appealed the people to teach BJP a lesson in the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Assembly Polls 2017. Addressing a press conference, on Sunday, after the third phase polling in Lucknow, Choudhary said, both want to create an environment of fear, both are terrorists and are creating terror in our democracy. Modi and Amit Shah have nothing to say and hence are making wild allegations, BJP knows it is losing the plot in UP, the senior minister. BJP will face worse than what it had faced in Bihar, he added.
