Massive Protest Erupts Against Bihar CM Nitish Kumar During 'Samadhan Yatra'. Video

The enraged mob also burned posters of CM Kumar and Dy CM Tejashwi Yadav.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's ' 'Samadhan Yatra' on Sunday reached Katihar. Locals from Dighari Panchayat in Katihar's Korha block chant slogans against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar during his 'Samadhan Yatra,' claiming they were not permitted to meet the CM, news agency ANI reported.

The enraged mob also burned posters of CM Kumar and Dy CM Tejashwi Yadav.

There was a lot of enthusiasm among the people regarding the arrival of CM Nitish Kumar's Samadhan Yatra. People kept waiting for him for two hours to seek solution of their problems. CM Kumar's convoy didn't stopped to meet the people. After this, resentment was seen growing among the people. People standing outside the barricades of Dighri Panchayat burnt the effigy of CM Nitish Kumar while raising slogans against CM and Deputy CM.

Earlier on Saturday, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had asserted that allegations of fraud against companies owned by billionaire Gautam Adani should be looked into. Kumar made the remark in Kishanganj district, which he visited as part of his state-wide 'Samadhan Yatra,' in response to media queries on the political spat over the claims that rocked Parliament's procedures.

"Yes, I have heard about it. His (Adani's) business model has been called into question. Now that things have come to light, the matter should be looked into", CM Kumar had stated.

In fact, Kumar severed relations with the BJP less than six months ago, and his party has joined the opposition in calling for a Joint Parliamentary Committee investigation into the alleged fraud involving the businessman thought to be close to the ruling NDA at the Centre.
