'Not Apologetic', Says Kunal Kamra After Heckling TV Anchor Arnab Goswami On Flight | Watch Video

Soon after Kunal's video went viral on social media and several users asked Indigo to take action against the comedian, the air carrier took cognizance of the matter and put him in no fly list for a span of six months.

New Delhi: In what came as a surprise and an unexpected encounter between two of the well-heard voices of the country when it comes to politics, stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra on Tuesday posted a video on his social media profiles where he can be seen heckling Editor-in-Chief of Republic TV Arnab Goswami on an airplane. The stand-up comedian took to his social media profiles including Facebook and Twitter to inform his followers that he met Arnab on a flight. In the 1 minute 51 seconds video, Kunal tried to get answers from the journalist in the same way reminiscent of Republic TV style debates. Before sharing the video, Kunal took to Twitter and informed everyone that he met the journalist on a flight. "Met Arnab Goswami on a flight & gave him a monologue about his ‘journalism’. All he did was call me mentally unstable & after sometime I had no choice but to return to my seat. The entire flight I’ll keep pretending to use the loo just to tell him he’s piece of SHIT. F*CK Arnab," he tweeted. Later he posted a video of himself confronting the Republic Editor aboard the plane. In the video, Arnab can be seen with earphones plugged in, most likely watching something on his laptop, as a voice from background (Kunal) confronting and heckling him. Throughout the video, the journalist does not react or even look towards the camera. "Here I'm asking coward Arnab Goswami a question about his journalism and he is doing exactly what I expected him to do," Kunal can be heard saying in the beginning of the video. "He's being a coward. First he called me mentally unstable, and now he's saying 'I'm watching something'. He's not ready to answer my questions, viewers," Kunal says later. Here's the entire video: After facing some backlash on social media for his act, the stand-up comedian did issue a statement apologising to the fellow passengers for the inconvenience caused but refused to apologise to Arnab. Soon after Kunal's video went viral on social media and several users asked Indigo to take action against the comedian, the air carrier took cognizance of the matter and put him in no fly list for a span of six months. This was followed by travel ban by several air carriers including Air India, SpiceJet and GoAir. Kunal Kamra has actively criticised the shortcomings of the Central government at the helm of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In the recent past, the stand-up comedian has taken strong digs at government and supported Opposition leaders such as Kanhaiya Kumar, Arvind Kejriwal and others. Kunal also hosts a Youtube show named 'Shut Up Ya Kunal' where he has invited several well-known faces of the political landscape including Delhi Chief Minister, AIMIM Chief Asssassudin  Owaisi, Yogendra Yadav, Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi and others.
