Kerala: Class 9 Students 'Disrobe' Classmate To Enact ‘Pushpa 2 Scene’, Circulate Video. Probe Ordered

In the complaint, the father has alleged that seven of the victim's classmates have done the brutal act on him.

The Kerala police have initiated an inquiry into the forcible "disrobing" and brutal "torture" of a Class 9 student by his fellow classmates at St Thomas School of Pala in Kottayam district. The incident which reportedly took place on January 10 came to light after a nude video of the student went viral on social media.

According to a report on Mathrubhumi, the students took to the act drawing inspiration from a scene in "Pushpa" movie. In the movie, the protagonist was reportedly stripped in a scene. Therefore, the students decided to recreate the scene with the victim.

On that day, the classmates reportedly joined together and waylaid the victim. They then overpowered him and started to remove his clothes. The students allegedly then tortured him, according to a report on IANS.

Later, based on the complaint of the boy's father, the local police registered a case and started the investigation.

In the complaint, the father has alleged that seven of the victim's classmates did the brutal act on him.

Against this backdrop, Minister Veena George has ordered for a detailed report on the incident from Director of Women and Child Welfare Department. Education Minister Sivankutty also said that the Education Department would conduct and enquiry into the matter.

The 'disrobing' of the boy comes days after a shocking revelation by a teenage girl came to light. The girl alleged that she was sexually assaulted by 62 people over the span of a few years.

Meanwhile, last year, Kerala government ordered an investigation into a ragging complaint of a student of a state-run school in Wayanad. The Class 10 student had alleged that he was brutally assaulted by some of his schoolmates. He also said that they injured him using a scissor. Later, he was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
