“Topmost Pakistani terrorist affiliated with proscribed terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lamboo, was killed in today’s encounter. The identification of the second terrorist is being ascertained,” ANI quoted Kashmir Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar as saying.

The top cop further said Lamboo alias Adnan was from the family of JeM chief Masood Azhar.

“He was involved in conspiracy and planning of Lethpora attack. He stayed with Adil Dar till the day of fidayeen attack, viral video of Adil Dar had his voice in it,” he added.

Abu Saifullah, who was also associated with Taliban, has been killed along with another terrorist in Hangalmarg of Tral in Pulwama.

An M-4 rifle, AK-47 rifle, a Glock pistol and another pistol have been recovered from the slain terrorists.

Abu Saifullah was a specialist in vehicle-propelled IEDs, which are used regularly in Afghanistan and also in the 2019 Pulwama attack.

Reports suggest that Abu Saifullah tried to re-establish and strengthen the JeM terror outfit in the Kashmir Valley. He also used Awantipora, especially Kakpora and Pampore areas of Pulwama, to recruit new terrorist groups.
