IndiGo Delhi-Srinagar Flight Face Turbulence Due To Rainfall — WATCH

An IndiGo flight 6E6125 from Delhi to Srinagar encountered turbulence due to adverse weather conditions.

An IndiGo flight travelling from Delhi to Srinagar was caught in a storm on Monday evening, leading to a turbulent plane ride. However, the IndiGo crew followed protocol and landed at its destination safely. The flight, 6E6125, departed from Delhi at 5:25 PM, and encountered turbulence due to heavy rainfall. 

In a statement, IndiGo said, “IndiGo flight 6E6125 from Delhi to Srinagar faced severe turbulent weather en route. The crew followed all operational protocols and the flight landed safely in Srinagar. We regret the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the inclement weather”, according to ANI.

According to an India Today report, Baba Firdous, the chief of 'Kashmir Seva Sangh' was also on board, and he said that it was like a new life for him and his fellow passengers.

On Monday, the 270-km Jammu-Srinagar national highway remained closed due to the landslides and falling stones at several locations in Ramban district, making it impassable. People were asked to avoid travel on the highway till the weather improves.

As a precautionary measure, two interstate highways were also shut down due to fresh snowfall in the higher regions of Bhaderwah in Doda district, as reported by the officials, according to PTI. A traffic department official said the traffic on Jammu-Srinagar national highway was suspended around 9.30 am following landslides triggered by heavy rains in Dalwas, Mehad-Cafeteria, Chamalwas, Shalgadi and Gangroo.
