Snowfall Blankets Himachal, Ladakh. Rainfall Brings Down AQI In Delhi
Rainfall lashed parts of Delhi while higher reaches of Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand received snowfall late night on Monday.
Late-night rain lashed parts of Delhi settling the minimum temperature at 14.7 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, four notches above the season's average. Strong winds and rain lashed parts of Delhi late on Monday lowering the air quality index in the national capital.
The city has experienced five rainy days in the month of February and, according to the India Meteorological Department, this trend is expected to continue for the next two days, as per a PTI report.
As per the data published by the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi recorded an Air Quality Index of 231 on Monday which came down to 215 on Tuesday morning.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.

The humidity level was recorded at 96 per cent, as per the IMD.
Partly cloudy skies are likely to remain during the day on Tuesday, as per the Met office while rain and drizzle are forecast to continue on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Snowfall In Higher Reaches
Up in the northern parts of the country, Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh experienced snowfall. Parts of Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur and higher reaches of Kullu and Chamba districts in Himachal Pradesh received moderate to heavy snowfall, the MeT office here said on Monday.

Parts of Uttarakhand including Badrinath, Kedarnath and Hemkund Sahib also recieved snowfall, while the lower areas in Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts received rain, intensifying the cold across Uttarakhand.
