Kejriwal's Wife Delivers His Message From Jail, Announces 6 Poll Guarantees At I.N.D.I.A Rally

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal read out her husband's message from the jail during the INDIA bloc rally.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal addressed the I.N.D.I.A bloc rally on Sunday where she read out her husband's message from jail which included six poll guarantees. The mega rally by the opposition bloc was attended by top leaders of the alliance including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Tejashwi Yadav among others.

The six poll guarantees that Kejriwal listed out included no power cuts, free electricity for the poor, government schools and mohalla clinics in every district, and statehood to Delhi.

In his message, which was read out by Sunita, the Aam Aadmi Party chief said: "I am not asking for votes today... I invite 140 crore Indians to make a new India... India is a great nation with thousands of years old civilisation... I think about Mother India from inside the jail and she is in pain... Let's make a new India... If INDIA Alliance is given an opportunity, we will build a new India... I present 6 guarantees on behalf of INDIA Alliance."

The first two guarantees Kejriwal made were, no power cuts in the whole country and free electricity for the poor. He also promised government schools and mohalla clinics in every village as the third and fourth guarantee.

"We will make a multi-speciality government hospital in every district. Everyone would get free treatment," the message stated further.

The fifth guarantee that the AAP chief gave was "correct price for the crops" to farmers while statehood to Delhi was the sixth guarantee.

"The people of Delhi have faced injustice for 75 years... We will give statehood to Delhi... We will complete these 6 guarantees in 5 years. I have made all the planning from where the money for these guarantees will come...," the message read.

Kejriwal is currently in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case linked to the excise policy case.

Before reading out the message, Sunita said that the authorities won't be able to keep her husband in jail for long.

"Your own Kejriwal has sent a message for you from jail. Before reading this message, I would like to ask you something. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi put my husband in jail, did the Prime Minister do the right thing," she said.

"Do you believe that Kejriwal Ji is a true patriot and honest person? These BJP people are saying that Kejriwal ji is in jail, he should resign. Should he resign? Your Kejriwal is a lion, they will not be able to keep him in jail for long...," she added.
