Important announcements for 27th day of demonetisation

New Delhi: On 27th day of demonetisation, the situation has not come down to normal yet; The banks will re-open again on Monday after a day off on Sunday. The queues outside the banks and ATMs continue to be long and the perils people had to face because of cash crunch, also continues. BIG Announcements with regards to demonetisation:
  • You can withdraw money from ATMs today
  • You also have an option to withdraw money by swiping your cards at Big Bazaar and petrol pumps
  • Over 90 thousand ATMs have been updated across the country, therefore; one can withdraw up to Rs 2500 from these ATMs
  • In order to increase a supply of a smaller currency in market, Reserve bank has taken big decisions
  • Now, printing of Rs 20 note and Rs 50 note have also been initiated. These notes will soon be released
  • In spite of release of new Rs 20 and Rs 50 notes, old notes will remain valid
  • Government has also made a big announcement with regards to digital payments
  • District Magistrates and Panchayats will be honoured in order to promote digital modes of  transactions
  • Niti Ayog will release Rs 5 lakh for every district
  • 10 districts will be awarded with awards for showing good work in  digital transactions
