Illegal Indian Migrants Deported From US Land In Amritsar — Watch
The deported individuals include 25 women, 12 minors, and 79 men. Besides Punjab, the deportees are from Haryana and Gujarat, as per official sources.

The illegal Indian migrants deported from the United States on an United States Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft reached Amritsar airport on Wednesday. The deported individuals include 25 women, 12 minors, and 79 men.

In addition to the deported Indian nationals, the aircraft will have 11 crew members and 45 US officials onboard. Besides Punjab, the deported individuals are from Haryana, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra. Among the deportees, 38 are from Gujarat, while 90 belong to Punjab and 56 are from Haryana, as per official sources.

Amid Trump’s ongoing crackdown on unauthorised immigration, this is the first such flight of Indian nationals who went to the US using illegal means. While Indians have been deported before, this is the first time the US government is using a military aircraft with American military personnel for the exercise.
According to the Pew Research Center, there are an estimated 725,000 undocumented Indian immigrants in the US as of 2024.
