Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone under probe for sexual assault

The complainant, a woman, has alleged that the 71-year-old actor had assaulted her in the year 1990.

New Delhi: Troubles are brewing up for popular Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone as a probe has been launched by the US prosecutors to look into the sexual assault charges on him. The probe shall determine whether Stallone should be charged in connection with a sexual assault reported last year. As per the reports of AFP, a case was presented by the Santa Monica Police Department regarding the actor, which is under review by the sex crime task force. The complainant,  a woman, has alleged that the 71-year-old actor had assaulted her in the year 1990. The allegation against the star comes in the wake of the #MeToo movement aimed at raising voice against the sexual assault incidences rampant in Hollywood and beyond. In previous reports, Stallone’s attorney had told the media that the actor categorically denied the allegations and that the woman filed the report to get a media outlet to publish the story. AFP reported that the attorney however admitted that the complainant and the actor had a relationship while shooting for a movie in 1987 while he was single. Stallone is popular across the globe for his roles in the  ‘Rocky’  and  ‘Rambo’ movies.
