'Poignant Juncture To Rejuvenate Bonds': President Murmu, VP, PM Modi Extend Greetings On Holi

PM Modi, President Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi extended greetings on Holi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar along with other Union ministers and politicians extended their greetings on the occasion of Holi. The festival of colours is being celebrated across the country on Monday with much fervour. 

Taking to social media platform X, Modi wished a happy Holi to the citizens. "May this traditional festival decorated with colors of affection and harmony bring new energy and new enthusiasm in the lives of all of you," he said. 

"Best wishes to all the countrymen on the festival of joy and enthusiasm, Holi. This festival of harmony is a living symbol of India's priceless cultural heritage," said President Murmu. "It is my good wish that this festival of colours further strengthens the feeling of love and brotherhood among the countrymen and brings happiness and prosperity in everyone's life," she added. 

Vice President Dhankhar also extended his greetings on the festival. "Warm greetings on the joyous occasion of Holi, the festival of colours," said the Vice President, adding, "Holi serves as a poignant juncture for us to rejuvenate our bonds and welcome the advent of spring. It embodies the celebration of life and the abundance of nature." 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah extended his best wishes to "all the countrymen for the great festival of colors and joy, Holi."

"May this festival of happiness bring colors of prosperity and harmony in the lives of all of you and become a medium for transmission of new energy," Shah said. 

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge hoped that the festival would "strengthen the bond of brotherhood among our citizens and brings happiness in your lives."

"The festival of Holi symbolizes the vibrant colors of our diverse multi-cultural society, the spirit of unity and harmony which has been the essence of our civilization," Kharge said. 

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also extended his greetings. "I wish that this festival increases unity, brotherhood and harmony among all Indians," he said in a post on X. 

Holi Greetings From World Leaders, Foreign Dignitaries 

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese extended his greetings on Hoil calling it "joyful celebration of colour, love, and new life." 

In a statement, the Australian PM said: "Happy Holi, Australia! Holi is a joyful celebration of colour, love and new life. The message of renewal through the triumph of good over evil is an inspiration for all Australians. For many Australians of South Asian heritage, Holi's cultural and religious significance brings people together in celebration of their shared faith, history and heritage."

The Delegation of the European Union to India and Bhutan shared a video wishing on the festival. 

Ambassador of Israel to India Naor Gilon extended his greetings saying that it was difficult for him to celebrate the festival "knowing that Israeli children, women and men are still held captive in the dark tunnels of Gaza."
