Rahul Dravid attending the BJP event in Himachal Pradesh's Dharamshala sparked a huge debate on social media.

New Delhi: Months ahead of the assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh, BJP Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has organised a meeting in Dharamshala to discuss strategies and motivate their workers for the upcoming polls. According to ANI, the national working committee of BJYM will be organising the event from May 12 to 15. National and top BJP leaders of Himachal Pradesh will also attend the meeting.

Vishal Naheria, MLA, Dharamsala said that BJP national President JP Nadda, the national organisation minister, and other Union Ministers will also be in attendance. ANI report quoting Vishal Naheria also mentioned that veteran cricketer Rahul Dravid will also be a part of the BJP organised event.

However, in a later report, India's head coach refuted taking part in any such event and said the reports are "incorrect".

"A section of the media has reported that I will attend a meeting in Himachal Pradesh from May 12th-15th, 2022. I wish to clarify that the said report is incorrect," Dravid told news agency ANI.
