Guerrillas snatch two weapons from policemen in Kashmir
Srinagar: Separatist guerrillas on Saturday snatched two weapons from police guards at a 'minority post' in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district, police said. "Militants snatched two weapons from policemen guarding members of minority community at Tumlahal village in Pulwama," a police official said here. On Friday, a policeman was killed and two other persons including a policeman and a civilian injured in a shootout in Shopian district when guerrillas tried to snatch weapons from the police guards at a minority post in Reshnagri village. Minority posts were set up by the security forces in villages where members of the Kashmiri Pandit community continue to live. Majority of the local Kashmiri Pandit community migrated out of the Valley in the early 1990s with the outbreak of the separatist violence.
