Free insurance on railway tickets bought online, says Government
NEW DELHI: Passengers paying for railway tickets online will get free accident insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced on Thursday. "All passengers who buy ticket online will get free insurance cover worth Rs 10 lakh," Jaitley told the media on the completion of one month of demonetisation. Government today announced 11 steps to promote digital payments following demonetisation. The date for rolling out the scheme will be notified shortly, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said.
