EXCLUSIVE | Amit Shah Says Next BJP CM Of Bengal Will Be 'Bhumiputra', Voters Will Decide Suvendu's Fate

Amit Shah Exclusive: To understand the ground situation and BJP's strategy ABP News spoke to Amit Shah ahead of the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly Election 2021.

West Bengal Assembly Elections will begin from Saturday, March 27, as 30 Assembly Constituencies go to poll in the first of the eight-phase of polling. Electioneering or poll campaigning for the first phase came to a halt on Thursday at 5 PM as political parties have made their all-out effort to sway voters' attention for the 294-seat Bengal Assembly. It is a no brainer that, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) and Trinamool Congress (TMC) are the main rivals for the 2021 state assembly in West Bengal.

While TMC is led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, BJP is fighting tooth-and-nail under the central leadership of Union Home Minister Amit Shah followed by Kailash Vijayvargiya, Dilip Ghosh and others.

'Faceless In Many States'

It is often questioned that BJP has not projected a Chief Ministerial face for the West Bengal Assembly Elections, so what is their strategy in a state where cult figures are revered. Amit Shah speaking to ABP News elaborated that BJP has fought multiple state assembly elections "without projecting any face" and has been successful.

"We came to power in UP and Jharkhand, without projecting any face. We have remained faceless while contesting elections in many states," Amit Shah said talking to ABP News.
