New Delhi: A bone-chilling incident shook the nerve of Delhi after four bike-borne robbers fired shots at a woman travelling in an auto rickshaw in the national capital on Sunday evening as they stole her gold bangles.
The officer said that the 54-year-old woman sustained injuries as the robbers tried to steal her bangles, but noted these were not from gun shots.
The woman could be seen crying in pain after the incident took place.
The incident happened at around 6.45 p.m. in Shakarpur area of East Delhi, hardly three-four km from the Delhi Police's headquarters.
The officer said that passersby who witnessed the incident called police and added that the woman had sustained no major injuries.
The police have launched a probe to find the robbers.
