DA case: CBI claims to have proof against Himachal CM

New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday said it has full proof against Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, his associates and partners in criminal conspiracy regarding the assets acquired in the name of his wife and children. According to sources, all named in the FIR will be soon examined by the investigating agency. Singh, who appeared before the CBI earlier today in connection with the alleged disproportionate assets case, during his interrogation said that he had no idea on how to make assets or acquire the same in the name of his wife and children. The CBI had on September 26 last year searched the Chief Minister's residence and 10 other places in connection with this case. Later, the Enforcement Directorate ( ED) conducted raids and summoned the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister for questioning in Delhi after the registration of the case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. Singh had earlier approached the Delhi High Court seeking directions to the Enforcement Directorate to provide him with the reasons on the basis of which search and seizure was carried out at his premises.
