Haryana Caps Open Space Gathering To 100 In Gurugram, Faridabad, Rohtak; Restrictions Effective From Nov 26 | Check Details

Covid-19 In Haryana: Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday announced a slew of restrictive measures taken in order to control the rapid spike in the Covid-19 numbers in the state.

While addressing media, Khattar announced a cap on the number of people who can gather at public places in several districts, effective from November 26. He said that a gathering of only 50 people can be allowed in halls, while only 100 can gather in open spaces. The changes are applicable in Gurugram, Faridabad, Rewari, Rohtak, Panipat and Hisar districts.
In other districts, gathering of 100 people allowed in closed spaces while 200 in open space.
The announcement comes ahead of the wedding season, and a sudden spike in Covid-19 cases reported in Gurugram.
On Monday also, the Gurugram police warned owners of banquet halls/marriage halls, hotels and resorts against hosting ceremonies without ensuring that Covid-19 norms are followed. Any negligence would invite FIRs against the organisers and the venues would be sealed, the Gurugram police said.
Vaccine will be given to health care personnel first, says Khattar
“We have been told to make strategy to make vaccine available to general public. As it is not possible to give vaccine to all at once. In the first phase, vaccine will be provided to health care personnel & people who need it the most,” said Khattar after virtual meeting with PM.
In the second phase vaccine will be given to essential service providers and then there will two phases in which there will be age-wise distribution, Khattar said.
