Condemn Misuse Of Central Agencies: KCR Escalates Attack on Modi Govt After Meeting Uddhav Thackeray

Escalating his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre, Rao said the central agencies are being “misused” in a very bad manner.

New Delhi: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao met his Maharashtra counterpart Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai on Sunday in a bid to cobble together an anti-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) front ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

“You will get to see a good result of our meeting very soon. I invite Uddhav ji to come to Telangana,” Rao told the media after his meeting with Thackery and other Shiv Sena leaders in Mumbai, ANI reported.

Escalating his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre, Rao said the central agencies are being “misused” in a very bad manner.

“We condemn it. The Central government should change their policy, they will suffer if they don't. The country has seen many such things,” he added.

Rao, also the president of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), said that they had an elaborate discussion on “improving and expediting developmental issues and bringing structural and policy changes in the country”.

“We have agreed on all the issues,” he added.

Shiv Sena’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut and actor Prakash Raj were also present in the meeting held at Varsha bungalow – the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s official residence – in Mumbai.

Thackeray had during a telephonic conversation last week invited Rao, who has been critical of the BJP and the Centre on a number of issues, to Maharashtra capital Mumbai.

Thackeray, the president of Maharashtra’s ruling Shiv Sena, announced “complete support” to KCR’s “fight” against the alleged anti-people policies of the BJP and to uphold the federal spirit.

Proposing that the future course of action on the issue would be discussed when Rao meets him, Thackeray pointed out that the former has “raised his voice at the right time to protect the nation from divisive forces”.
