Centre Appoints IPS Officer Ravi Sinha As New RAW Chief

IPS officer Ravi Sinha has been appointed as the new chief of Research and Analysis Wing.

IPS officer Ravi Sinha has been appointed as the new chief of Research and Analysis Wing. Ravi Sinha, a 1988 batch IPS officer of Chattisgarh Cadre, is serving as head of operational division in RAW for last seven years. Sinha has been attributed with infusing modern technology in the field of intelligence collection.
Centre Appoints IPS Officer Ravi Sinha As New RAW ChiefA low profile officer , Ravi Sinha ,is a widely respected figure across all the intelligence community for his professional competence . He has worked on a wide range of fields, and brings to his new role a significant bank of experience and knowledge.

Sinha is known to have a sound grip on neighbourhood developments ,besides J&K, NE and LWE domains where he has severed at different points in time .

This enables him to integrate technological and human intelligence dimensions to work together for addressing the challenges of our times. Incidentally, Tapan Deka, present Director of Intelligence Bureau, is also of 1988 batch and was head of operations in IB for considerable number of years. Ravi Sinha is an alumnus of St. Stephens College, Delhi.
