BJP To Run 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Campaign Across Country Ahead Of Independence Day

Lok Sabha MP and BJP leader CR Patil first started the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign campaign in 2018, and subsequently, it was held across the country.

The Bharatiya Janata Party is set to run the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign from August 11 ahead of the Independence Day Celebrations this year.

The tricolor campaign will be held in every house from August 11 to 15 where BJP workers have been asked to go to every house and meet people to promote the campaign. As part of the campaign, all the houses, shops and offices will hoist the tricolor from August 13 to 15.

During this period, a cleanliness drive and wreath-laying will be conducted at the statues of the freedom fighters.

The BJP has said that it will also observe 'Partition Horrors Remembrance Day' on August 14 to remember all those who lost their lives due to partition. This day was announced by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2021 to remember all those who lost their lives due to the partition of the nation and were uprooted from their origins.

Lok Sabha MP and BJP leader CR Patil first started this campaign in 2018, and subsequently, it was held across the country.

Speaking during the Mann Ki Baat radio broadcast on Sunday, PM Modi, while reiterating the theme 'Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan' in runup to Independence Day, said, "For the last few years, everyone’s fervour for the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ remained high… Everyone feels proud waving the Tricolour… That means, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ has become a unique festival in upholding the glory of the Tricolour. Like earlier, this year too, you must upload selfies with the Tricolour on harghartiranga.com.”
