Bitter reality of UP schools: Students hold umbrellas to protect from dripping ceiling
Kanpur, UP: Three days after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath presented his state budget, where he ensured a fair amount of money has been kept aside for the betterment of school going students’ uniform, books, shoes and socks; a primary school in UP has a different story to tell.
CM had allotted an amount of Rs 300 Crore for the school going students, but the real picture of a Kanpur school has raised several eyebrows.
The school where students come in good strength in spite of incessant rains had its ceiling dripping and water falling inside the classrooms.
The situation was so bad that the students had to sit in the classrooms holding umbrellas and even he teachers are seen holding umbrella in hand as she taught.
The flaky ceiling of the classrooms can be seen alarming the authorities that any tragedy could take place at anytime.
Unfortunately, with over 3 months of tenure of Yogi Government, no action has been taken by the Government yet to fix the classrooms in order to provide a decent education standard.
It would be interesting to see if the government really acts and aims at providing a decent education standard to the future of Uttar Pradesh or not.
