Earlier on Friday, Tarkishore Prasad had accused Lalu Prasad of deceiving Nitish Kumar with false promises of the prime ministerial position. Prasad alleged that Lalu Prasad had cunningly suggested the idea of convening an Opposition meeting under the pretext of supporting Nitish Kumar's candidacy for the Prime Minister's role.

However, Prasad claimed that Lalu Prasad's true motive is to secure his son, Tejashwi Yadav, as the Prime Minister instead.

Tarkishore Prasad said, "Lalu Prasad has tricked Nitish Kumar by saying that he can become the Prime Minister. That is why he emphasized the need to call for an Opposition meeting. The real agenda of Lalu Prasad Yadav is to make his son Tejashwi Yadav the Prime Minister," he was quoted as saying by ANI.
