Bengal BJP To Undergo Organisational Change? State Unit VP Dilip Ghosh Has Something To Say

“Our state unit will speak with the central leadership, there might be some changes after that (in WB unit of the party),” ANI quoted Ghosh as saying.

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Dilip Ghosh on Saturday said there might be some changes in the saffron party’s West Bengal unit.

“Our state unit will speak with the central leadership, there might be some changes after that (in WB unit of the party),” ANI quoted Ghosh as saying.

Ghosh, who is in the national capital to attend the BJP’s office bearer’s meeting, added: “For now, we have national executive meeting, happening after a very long time.”

The remarks of Ghosh, who is the party’s national vice-president, come as the West Bengal BJP is witnessing a witnessing a large number of party leaders and workers, including singer-turned politician Babul Supriyo and Mukul Roy, joining the Trinamool Congress (TMC) after the debacle in the state assembly elections.

The BJP has of late intensified its outreach programme among the party workers to prevent the leaders from deserting the party.

This move by the saffron party comes as several other leaders, including Biswajit Roy, Soumen Roy, Manotosh Roy and Sabyasachi Dutta, returned to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee-led TMC.

Earlier in August this year, BJP MLA from Bishnupur Tanmay Ghosh had joined the TMC.
